While cleaning fish today I had my friendly egret come visit me and looking for something to eat. I gave him a number of ribs that I cut out of the trout I caught. And when I was looking at it I never realized the green coloring around its eyes. It's pretty cool.
And another thing. WhiIe I was sitting up on my back porch talking to my wife I felt and heard buzzing around my head. When I turned around there was a hummingbird just fluttering above my head and then went and sat on the feeder and was drinking and drinking and drinking away. Must have just flown in from Mexico and was thirsty. |

| Very cool, Zia. It is a mating season thing. The lores, normally yellow, turn green. |
