Hit the backyard around 9:00 before it got too damn hot to fish. Wound up with three keeper trout, a bunch of undersized and one that went 25 in. What was crazy was the bite was extremely soft. There were times when I thought I just had a little bit of grass on my lure. Turned out to be a fish just hanging on. After a while when I realized that, I was able to catch a bunch more fish by just focusing on slight changes in the way my lure was coming in.

Great to hear that you’re still knocking them dead.

Well now that volleyball season is here my refereeing is going to cut back on my fishing some. For example, next week I've got 4 days to referee for a total of 20 high School matches.

I'll take you on the Net Ladder over a 2 min Honey Hole photo any day of the week!
Glad your health allows for you to ref again this year. Best in S. TX (and not just with catching fish! Cool ).

Did get out today for about an hour and a half. Got a limit at my two minute honey hole. Also got three other keepers along the CPL shoreline line including one at 24 in. These were an 18, 19 plus and 20.
