Just wanted to give an update on fishing down here in Galveston. This time of the year fishing can be very productive and really action packed. I wish more anglers would take advantage of fishing in the fall. We traditionally catch some nice healthy speckled trout, red fish, flounder, drum and sheepshead during the fall months.
I had some great days during the month of Nov. & Dec. is starting off strong. I have been catching my fish in the northern end of the bay system. I am fishing the shallow flats, drop offs and bays that are close to the deeper water from the channel. Finding active bait and the cleaner water has been golden for me. I am using live shrimp under a cork.
I will stay in this area for the next month or two until the water temp starts to rise again. It has been in the 60's lately and should drop a bit with the colder weather. That should really school up the fish and it will get even better. If you ever are in the area, give me a shout. Until next time, see you on the water.
