Has anyone ever seen this?
Supposedly from last weekend in Galveston area.
Not sure it's real, except wife says the surf is loaded with bait at S Packery right now..

| I think I know where that is...the south east side of the pass just past the houses on the end. That is a great place to wade out chest deep and cast to reds that are 38" to 44" during the bull red run. That may be a bunch of rain minnows schooling and being attacked by predators. I got some video of this type of phenom in the fall of 2009 just south of the mansfield jetties. |

| I was surf fishing last Saturday at dawn around marker 93 on Mustang and the close in surf was almost black with small minnow like bait fish. Something was aggressively feeding on them so I started throwing lures at them. Finally caught a couple of large Lady Fish on a silver spoon. Was hoping they were Blue's, Red's, or Trout. Guess not though. The minnow parade lasted for several hours. |
