Sitting at Packery at the moment, had two rods out with croaker and a 3 oz sinker.
Along comes a goober in a bay boat. Blasting along 15' from the bank. Stripped both rods clean. Roughly 500 yds of 30 lb braid. I'm guessing his sudden throttle down was the sinkers being wound into the prop a few seconds later. I last saw him idling outbound towards the bridge.
Looks like I need to head to Roy's for new drag washers and line.
As for a fishing report, nasty water, no bait. No bites. Little bit of drizzle.
ETA. Just watched ANOTHER boat miss the curve and ground himself outside the channel. White bay boat with a Suzuki. Maybe it's better to just go home. |

I would imagine his entire lower unit is compromised to the tune of several hundred $$$. |

Well I guess that answers my question about fishing Packery tomorrow...
Had heard there was some fish there..
Sucks about your line and your drags, that's gonna set you back a few bucks... _________________ Steve-O
