Anybody keeping up with this year's changes for trout? I hope this format catches on. They adopted using digital scales for visibility and the angler makes a short video of the weigh and release at the time of the catch. This will date-time stamp the video and the angler sends a text back to HQ. Following the Matadorda stop Fri and Sat, they were posting updates to the leader board during the day.

I've watched some of the Bass Master Elite Series and they have been doing some of the same stuff for catch and release. The bass settle back and another team might catch the same fish later.

For me observing, it was interesting to see these top anglers compete, and some just had a really tough time. Everybody helping out the resource will get fish back in the bay like it was.

Not sure if this link will work. Capt. Chad Peterek explains it all...

Sorry about that guys. Looks like the tournament is only updating their info on FB. I definitely understand the desire to avoid Zuckerface.

Here is the interweb site with some old info about what they do, although not complete and does not discuss the new innovation in running things. I'm not big on tourneys either, but I was impressed with no kill, CPR system they started this year - the only reason I posted.
