Had to drive down to take my mom to a Dr visit, managed to arrive at Packery about an hour before sunrise.

I never buy bait, I throw out Fishbites, catch a whiting and then use it for cutbait.

Not this time, I started catching sand trout. Two at a time in some instances. Threw most back but kept enough to make dinner for four tonight. Was gone by 9am. Almost no one fishing at all, lots of surfers though. All were caught on crab fishbites.

Water was warm and reasonably clear, lots of bait in the channel. Little bit of light rain from time to time and with the clouds it never turned hot as it usually does.
