Does any one have any experience with these pins that are attached to the transom that you push down to hold the boat ?

Guys i know that have power poles seam to always have issues with seals, or just not working alot of the times. Plus the extra weight for battery to operate.

I shop alot when fishing or move around and this makes since to stab in the sea bed and the price is like a new top quality marine battery.

The "pins" can be deployed anywhere on the boat. Stiffy, or Fibertex, a local C.C. company makes a very strong one out of fiberglass with at least one style of aluminum bracket to hold and guide the pin in place. Speaking of a Power Pole, I installed one when they first came out many years ago and have never had the first problem mine, plus they have one of the best customer services in the marine business. The best aspect of a Power Pole is it is controlled remotely and does not take anyone away from fishing or what ever they are doing. It's my wife's favorite addition to our boat, because we never use our anchor anymore and she doesn't have to drop it or pull it in! Laughing
My favorite use of the Power Pole is to deploy it when a fish is hooked while drifting, then continue to drift after the fish is aboard, and with no change in direction or path and everyone else aboard has continued fishing!

I use a Stick-It anchor pin and have been pleased with it. Simple and doesn't break. Have mine tied on transom.
