Was going to head out mid-morning today but when I jumped in the boat and tried to start it the battery was dead. Turned out my trim switch on the side of my motor was defective and stuck in a down position so it ran my battery down. Disconnected it and put the charger on. Didn't hit the water until about 12:30 and when I got out the wind was out of the east. Made a couple drifts and within minutes picked up this 20-in trout of 14-in trout and a 19 in red. I thought well it's going to be a good day. Then the winds kept switching out of the southeast back to the east etc etc. and within about 40 minutes of me going out the water look like trash. It was churned up and ugly. So that was it for the day.
