My location is at the South end of Laguna Shores and would like to find a drive-on scale in Corpus Christi where I can weight a boat and trailer. I thought about the land fill, but hopefully there is a reasonable alternative. Thanks in advance for your input.

I don't know what "commercial" scale operations charge there, but the Rockport "Transfer Station"(the dump) charges $10.00. Maybe the Nueces County landfill is also inexpensive?

I'm registering a "homemade" trailer and the process has changed. Now, you need two printed pics, a weight certificate($10), an inspection at the "Auto Theft Section" in Sinton or Corpus($40 for assigned number), THEN you go to the Tax Office. Jeez!

I'm going to use the Cat Scale at the Stripes at 601 S. Padre Island Dr. You can learn more about it at catscale.com, but basically you get their app, follow the instructions, and drive onto their scale, and pay with various options and get an email stating your certified weight. Kind of neat, and they have many locations throughout the states and possibly elsewhere which can be found on their website. The cost is $10.00 and I'm sure, plus tax. It's designed around servicing 18 wheelers, but they will weight any vehicle or multiple axle setup, RV, boat trailer, etc.
