Grew up in Corpus, and We are looking to come down to the island in October. Normally we stay at El Constante a few times a year, but their prices have gone up quite a bit in the off-season.

We are looking for anything beachfront along the island. Thanks in advance.

If you have to get a condo, Island House or Gulfstream aren't bad on Padre. If you want Mustang, Gulf Shores and Sea Gull tend to be "fair" priced in the off-season as long as it's nowhere near any major holidays.

If you are willing to go motel, Shark Reef is a great place in Port A. Older but well maintained, park outside your door, pool & hot tub, free breakfast, boat parking. It's on Cut Off Road so you're closer to the marina than the beach, but we've always enjoyed it for a quick trip. Usually runs only $60-80/nt in the offseason. They also have a few "cottage-style" condos that are extremely nice and updated, if you want to pay the extra $$$.
