| Are the little piers around the JFK still open during this pandemic? Wanna hit the lights at night but are they requiring social distancing on the piers? |

Governor hasn't issued anything that says they should close. Locally, face coverings are required in the city and county, but not outdoors so far. They are 'closing' beaches and and parks in the city and county throughout the holiday due to people not following county regs on social distancing. It's basically a big middle finger to tourists, but if locals can't follow the rules, then this is to be expected. Supposed to be 6 ft apart except for those that live together, and 100ft between parked cars. NONE of that has been happening. So adding visitors just makes it worse. Beaches in CC and Port A are still technically open, IF you can find a place to park and walk to them. Kleberg Co, Aransas co, MISP, and PINS have all announced full closures July 2/3-7. Also just for note, the city and county beaches in Nueces are also under curfew - no one 8pm through 6am through July 11.
That being said, piers are questionable at best for HC and BH. The bait stands will stay open bc it sounds like they're on their own to make the call. _________________ All things will pass. Have a Blessed day. |
