Does anyone know if there is a way to drop a pdf file into a post?

If it's a pdf that is on a static web address, then just use the URL tag for the link, and then everyone can see it.
Under phpBB scripting, even if you embed it within your post, it won't have a permanent location (ie., your computer) to send users for the 'link'.
Sorta like why all photos here have to come via 3rd party hosting sites.

I'm pretty sure that is correct, but am open to any suggestions.
