BHP is open when the beaches are open in Corpus (as Zia said, 8-8 I believe). HCP remains closed under the mayor of Port A's orders, although they did re-open the jetty and surf fishing so I expect it'll be open again pretty soon.

Aquarium and The Lex are big question marks. The Gov. just said retail stores, restaurants, theaters, and malls can re-open at 25% capacity starting May 1. Neither place falls under those categories, so who knows? Question

Are the beach and jetties open 24 hours? Or just 8 am - 8 pm like Bob Hall? Also, is camping allowed on the beach? Thanks.

No, and No. That goes for all of Nueces Co., Kleberg Co., and the length of PINS, at least until May 1st. After that, who knows.

[Although I believe for the local beaches, its 6 am - 8 pm].

Thanks Zia. If anybody would know, it's you. Cool

Now, if the State Parks folks would get on the ball and take down the barrier at the Newport Pass Rd. sticks!! It funny to drive north of Packery and run into a gate, and see a ton of cars on the other side?!?!

I called Port A and the lady said the jetties are open 24/7, and that starting tomorrow, the beach and Horace Caldwell will be open to fishing from 6am - 8 pm.

Guess all the fish need to by wristwatches, that way they will know when it's safe to be in the surf, but not in the channel. SMH!!!! [Idiocracy is turning out to be a Documentary].

Let's see! You can walk the rocks and fish in the first gut and you're okay. step off the rocks and have your feet on the sand and cast into the first gut and you can get fined $1,000. Makes a whole lot of sense

The city may call the jetties open 24/7, but since they're only accessible by the beach, that still violates county curfew - does it not?

But great news about HCP.
