I went out after work Monday night and stacked up a great slam of every species on my wish list. They had poured off the shallows and into the deeper water
but hung around the drain to eat the little guys as they got swept out of the shallows. A 3/8 ounce head with gulp shrimp was what worked,
because they wanted the bait near the bottom and moving surprisingly quick.

Yesterday I went to work a little late after spending just an hour casting the same little area. The flounder wouldn't play with me, but the others sure did!

Nice haul! I froze my buns off Thursday in the rain and the drizzle in deeper water with only a few keeper trout and dinks for our group.

Great day! I bet that 3/8 oz jig head is a tough throw with a fly rod? Rolling Eyes

Fish that deep are beyond the reach of my floating fly line, but I do enjoy the cold snaps because it's a rare chance to wadefish in layers 😬
