Monday...headed out fishing and I saw that the tides are about 4 or 5 inches higher than they were yesterday. I worked spoil islands today and caught and released over a limit of trout. as I was fishing I noticed that the tides continue dropping so I moved to an adjacent deep flat. Picked up another limit plus. I probably caught and released over a dozen keeper trout today four of those were over 20 in.

Tuesday... Went back to the flats and first drift picked up a 20in redfish and three undersized trout. Went back for another drift not even a perch bite. Hit several of different areas including a spoil islands where I caught some yesterday and once again not even a perch bite. My neighbor had the same results. So as great ad things were on Monday they were equally as bad on Tuesday. A 9.5 day Monday and a .5 day Tuesday

I found the uncooperative fish a day early. Spent Monday crawling around my flat and although thousands of fish were there and visible, I could only manage one 19" redfish on fly. Even tailing groups would greet my fly with dropping out of sight and tight lips. It was educational - I had never seen it where that many fish just wouldn't eat. Usually I can make them mad after a few casts and get a bite. Not yesterday.

Glad I'm not the only one that can cause lockjaw in fish
