From a tepid 86-87 F for the past few weeks, it rocketed down to 81 F overnight, and still falling based on the Blucher sensor on Bob Hall.

Beach littered with old, bleached seagrass pieces, and brown water past the 3rd+ bar. Very little 'brown floating plant material'.

Just imagine the little kid by the staticy TV set - "They're Here".....

[and 2.35 Super Secret Bonus Points awarded to me for the proper use of the contraction 'they are' = they're and not their or there!! Cool ]

It was bad on PINS 2 weeks ago when the winds were blowing. Once they laid down it dissipated over night and the week we had of excellent conditions it was not there. Really hoping it does the same thing this time! Jeff Wolda

Seems like you guys can't get a break over there with the surf. things are pretty bad here fishing wise in the rivers with the extreme high runoff

Zia,

Since you like to fish trout (fresh and salt) you and the Mrs. need to come up to our new home in Mountain Home, Arkansas and fish the White River below Bull Shoals Resivoir for BIG BROWNS and Rainbows, Brookies and Cutthroat.
To be keepers the browns must be 24". World record browns have come from Arkansas. They fish the browns with bass plugs.

As of 0600 today, it's back on the descending limb of the curve, and down to 79-80 F. Crying or Very sad

Headed out once the Sun gets up a little, so I will report back then.

Beautiful area! We stayed in cotter a few years back and had a great time. Got a guide one day and it was silly how many fish we caught. Did the shore lunch with fresh fried trout on the bank too. Really good time! Hope to go back one of these days.

Wasn't as cold as I figured, hovering ~80-81, but wicked rough surf and brown as far as you can see.
Safety Note: The run-up of the waves are getting pretty strong. Not 'to the dunes' yet, but the distance between sets coming ashore is getting large, and if you're not paying attention, a set will stack up and is strong enough to knock you off your feet.
Only a few rods I saw out. Zero action, but it was just Sunrise also. Access rd. entrances are also getting rutted out, and above the swash zone is getting soft(er).

Same i saw last evening, lots of people leaving, the people i saw with lines out, i noticed no seaweed, no fish - through south of the 25. Though I did see fingerling mullet Wife and daughter - both commented on how cold the water was - not scientific, but...
