I didn't think that conditions would be conducive for surf fishing but I just had to do it anyway. Haven't done it in a long time. Like I reported yesterday the water was fairly clear but very rough. Got out to the surf aroubd 8 and set up only two poles. One with fish bites and shrimp in the other one with cut baits of various types. The cut bait never got touched. shrimp and fish bited consistently caught whiting and hardheads. When I was leaving the beach I was going to head north towards Bob Hall but decided better against it when the waves are already crashing against the dunes at 11:30. Turned around and exited by the sticks. When I got home Mary was off with some friends so I jumped in the boat and hit the honey hole. 3 redfish the one picture was 28, also caught about a 21" and then an undersized one. Water was remarkably clear considering the winds we've had.

The smaller red I released in the Laguna and this one after the picture I released in my canal

Keep these reports coming! It is fun to see how you live right in the middle of the action and make use of it.

You know I am always seeing Zia's post and Zia they really help.
But I am also really glad the Bible tells me not to be envious, jealous or otherwise in appropriate.

Dang it Zia I guess if fishing were food ( oh wait, it is) you make me drooooool with all of your pics and reports.
Again thanks for all the wisdom and sharing you do.
