Anyone happen to know what the 2 areas are/were on here that look like racetracks lol? This is just SW of PITA island, and definitely looks like something man made and for a purpose.

It looks like its part of the Laureles Division of King Ranch which was the largest producing cattle and horse division. Maybe something related to that? Theres also what looks like part of an old cattle bridge at the NW tip to connect it to the mainland.

As a veteran horse player who has viewed many racetracks on satellite images that sure does look like a horse track. At 5-6 furlongs it also matches the typical distance for a training track for thoroughbreds. The other one beside it (north) is in the style of a European configuration for a training track (sometimes a turf course). It may not be that but it sure looks like it to me, especially being side by side. Thanks for the pic. Very interesting. I know they bred and raced Assault (Only triple crown winner ever from Texas). among many other very nice racehorses.
