Following the tragic drowning of a King High School student on Whitecap Beach, we are cancelling Saturday's Texas General Land Office Adopt-A-Beach Program cleanup for the neighboring Padre Island National Seashore and North Padre Island/Padre Balli Park beaches.
The nearest cleanup locations, Mustang Island,Packers Flats, and Port Aransas will continue as planned. Our thoughts and prayers are with King High School.
