Couldn't get out on the water on till about 1 and went out with a softball buddy of mine. did all my usual spots and found the fishing to be rather slow. We threw all kinds of soft Plastics and couple hard baits and all we managed to catch and release were 4 definite keeper trout and 2 maybes. Two of the trout however were nice fat 18in. Winds all day were blowing mainly out of the East Northeast and I guess the Daylight Savings Time change had the fishes rhythm thrown off as it did mine. The bite was not very strong all we managed were maybe another 10 non keeper trout in about 3 hours. Did anybody else have any better luck?

It was about halfway between you and Becky for us.
Fished KRS. Meh.
Tried near Chubby...the Island that belonged to Chubby. See how I did not get apostrophied? Nothing.
Back to KRS.
Tried quite a variety but they only wanted Trout Support lures. They were pretty non-commital on strikes and most came unhooked.
Landed four, the largest at 18 inches on my new XUL spinning outfit that I purchased after reading posts from bulldog and then some private messages with him. Thanks, Ron.
Big fun! Even for a slow day.

Forgot to mention the funniest part.
When I got home, I went inside to get a filet knife.
When I came back out, my brother and my fish were gone.
Mom is in town and he took it to give to her.

We fished the Backyard on Sunday. My report pretty much mirrors yours, Zia.

Plastics, topwaters, Gulps. Slow. Boxed a red that went 20.5 and two trout, 18 and just over 15. A few dinks mixed in too.

I thought I spotted your boat yesterday afternoon. You did not happen to motor north of Tropic Isles, didya?

We had better luck but really had to grind it out. Between 4 of us, about 16 keeper trout, the largest being 23.5. Picked up a 31.5 red that was released and a bonus 16inch flounder all in the same area. A buddy of mine had his limit within the first hour. All his were caught on DOA shrimp under a popping cork. We were fishing the sand pockets around Pure Oil and making looooonnngggg drifts. It wasn't fast and furious but definitely caught a few.
