Hello folks, its been awhile since ive been on but its about that time as im just a warm weather warrior haha. Hey, if my memory serves me correctly ive seen a few posts on here about fishing the baja. I could just be losing it but i know i remember seeing something. Anyway looking to book some trips while im down there which will be the 28th throught the 1st. Ive been in contact with a surf fisherman there im going to go out with one morning just to see how they do it down there. I really want to get on a rooster but all the looking ive done tells me this isnt a good time even though when i contact outfitters they say it is. Ive learned in mexico if you ask them if you can catch a certain fish they say yes. No is not really in the vocab. Any way if any of you guys have some info or suggestions im all ears, or i guess on this platform that would be considered all eyes.

I would give a left--(you know) to fish the East Cape--
My 2 cents

We have had consistently good trips in Cabo and they can be had at a very reasonable price. Depending on which marina you fish out of it is very possible to get into mahi or striped marlin a mile out of the marina. At least take one trip on a panga and give it a shot. Cabo has some roosters but further South like Costa Rica is better for that species. If you want to guarantee quality captain/boat/equipment Pisces Sportfishing (Cabo San Lucas) but you can have fun with cheaper outfits too. Enjoy your trip!

There are some top notch, cheap taco places a few blocks away from the marina, the farther you get from the marina the food gets cheaper and more authentic IMO.
