| A friend of mine was out at the Packer yesterday surfing and he said the water was all turned up and cold like it was a cold water upwelling. I just got back from the Laguna and the water was Brown look like our spring Bloom. Hope not. You guys have any reports of either of the two happening? By the way I did come back with three trout all 18in. Had to resort to gulps under a popping cork |

we fished north bird island to the canals at nighthawk and the water was all kind of brown. couldn't see bottom in less than 2 ft of water. was a tough day on the water with artificials _________________ Great captains, the stuff of legend, are made not by what they have caught, but by what they have given back. |

| Water is stained and muddy in the canals at Tropic Isles, but schools of large mullet are circulating, and I figured they were keeping it stirred up. Caught 4 keeper trout both Friday and Saturday morning in the Laguna; ICW edge and Pita Is areas. Until boat traffic got bad... Water was not terrible, justa little stirred up. Could still make out sand pockets. |

The Dogs Run on the beach today (after the Fog-Postponed Run yesterday) was meet with some seriously nasty brown water!!! Looked like hardhead heaven?!?!?! But the By-the-Wind Sailors and Blue Buttons were pretty cool to see. I don't remember a Spring that was this 'foggy', for this long... But the water certainly looked UPWELLING worthy, although I must say I never went in to see what the temp was... (All I saw caught from Bob Hall to the Bowl this am was nothing but hardheads...... so yea,, can't offer a different scientific opinion).

Got the picture of the wrack line off my phone. It was quite the sight on Sunday.

I fished in the back of Baffin last week. The water has a yellow or stained color, in the back of the bay near the creeks. The color of the water looks the same as it did before the last brown tide event. _________________ SOUTH TEXAS AGGIE |

the nearshore currents are likely changing, which has a temporary upwelling component with it...
happens every season change....
