From today, by the "New" south boundary of the State Park, a.k.a., Newport Pass Rd.



Once you get past 10 or so bollards, past the opening, those are usually in the water. And I wasn't even right at the surf! MAN that's a Low Tide!!!! Shocked

whoa!! did the weathermen hide a potential late season pompano window from us with their inaccurate forecasting??!!!!

There's pomp's in the mix. I spotted this one near Packery on my scout trip at lunch.



As far as the tide is out, you could wade to the first 'gut' and likely hit the 4th bar with a decent cast!!! Shocked

Luckily, I didn't come across too much, fish-wise. Mainly hardheads, croaker, and old carcasses from the 'fall run' (just heads). Luckily, no snook or tarpons (those are apparently in the FB canals right now..... Will get those tomorrow Crying or Very sad ).
