Been a while since my last report but why not. It was one of the first times a friend took me down to PINS for some trout fishing and the weather couldnt have been better. A nice turnaround from NE to E and awesome driving. There was a few less people than there were on Saturday too. We were looking for trout but could only find blitzes of ladies. Found a nice riptide through a cut in the sandbar that could almost swept you off your feet and the ladies were thick churning up the water. chasing mullet The mullet migration seems to still be going on. The only other fish was a 25" snook which Jack decided to keep since he'd never tasted one. Then saw a nice buck on the way back into town.

A beauty of a buck ran right in front of me, it was between the start of the pavement and the restrooms/waste containers - I had already put my camera down, but it looks like this guy. Where did you see him ?

And right after the sun went down on Sunday, something was running through the water, right on the other side of the first sand bar, there was a blowups on the surface - and I would catch glimpse of something shooting through the water - I am guessing big skipjacks, but i had put away my lure rig already - as long as it lasted, I should have gotten it back out. btw, I was just a couple miles down pins.
