Harvey changed our plans for vacation. Not being able to get to N Jetty in Port A we stayed on N Padre. Late Saturday we hit N Packery jetty using live mullet and plastics we caught reds, ladyfish, sand trout, and my PB snook at 23 1/2". Sunday hit N Packery early about the same catch minus snook. It got crowed fast and ended up getting cast net stolen (Don't turn your back for a second). Surfers walking through everyone's lines as they owned the place. Left early headed for Roberts Park Port A. Caught ladyfish, sand trout and reds off of live mullet and plastics. Monday morning hit Roberts Parks again same thing ladyfish, reds, sand trout, and one 3' spinner shark. Moved to a new location on South Jetty. Within five minute hooked up with 45" & 38" bull reds. Caught some slot reds and nice sand trout. I got a surprise catch of 22" red snapper. Tuesday hit the same spot I got it started with a 16" red snapper and 19" sand trout. Caught more slot reds and some big mangrove snapper. Wednesday we moved out to the surf on the South Jetty flounder stacked up in the washout Harvey made. Ended up with nine nice flounder for 17" to 21" and some big croakers and slot reds, all caught on plastics. Thursday our final day hit the same spot with the same results. Ended up with red fish and 6 flounder 17" to 20" I lost a monster at the net. For the six days of fishing we caught 14 different species. That ended our vacation with a smile. Sorry couldn't post any picture photobucket isn't working. Tight Lines

supposed to be late in the year for catching snook - congratulations

Even though we have a snook slot limit, the species we have here rarely reach it.

Hello Frederick!!!

Always enjoy your posts. Please post those pics if possible.
I wanted to ask you a question. By chance, does your wife have a sister named "Martha"?

We parked behind the first dune to access the jetty. The washout caused by Harvey doesn't allow parking up to the jetty anymore.

No my wife doesn't have any sisters. Working on finding a different avenue to post pictures, any recommendations would be appreciated.

Got on TinyPic after recommendation from knowledgeable fellow(I.S.), works good. Tip: when you download pics to it is when you choose size(message board), or they'll be full page big when you post.

When I post using tiny pics and choose a picture from my gallery it always comes out sideways. What I have to do is text a picture to myself and then save that picture to gallery and then choose that pic from the media. Weird

GREAT set of pictures, but then, you always post up some really good photos. (Pffttt.... Photobucket).

Quite the mixed bag. Huge reds, flatties, snook, snapper(s), small-ish trout(s) Laughing , even a pigfish, scorpionfish, and a stargazer! Another EPIC post.

Thanks, I always enjoy.
