Imagine if Harvey would have rode the back of this current Bull Tide!?!?! That would have put way more water into the Bluff!

See the PINS cam has water past the picnic tables, so that translates to 'up to the dunes' for just about everywhere else.

Holy underwear Batman! I'd say the water is up to the dunes there at the PINS cam, which means it's PAST the dunes in some areas!

so much for the beach for a few days!

Water is up to the top of my dock. Hadn't seen that since Hurricane Ike. Wasn't even that way during Harvey. My softball game which was scheduled at North Beach tonight got high tided out. Tide waters on the field

This is the highest, unstorm related, tide that I can remember. Fished SBHP on Monday and the beach was rough traveling then. Was shocked at how much debris was on the beach. Good thing I fished the surf when I did because I doubt you could since then.

Word!!! Took a run down Laguna Shores after our Jalisco's pit stop for National Taco Day!!! Past the rebuilt section (after Hustlin Hornet), it's as high as I've ever seen!!! Just the mid-stripe section out of the water.

IMS - You guys floated away yet? Lola Johnson looked pretty waterlogged this evening. Shocked

So what is causing this?
Does the full moon play a part?

I think its a combination of things. I used to pay attention to tides quite a bit when I used to fish a lot. I notice in the spring and fall we have bull tides. Then the full moon has an added effect. Then the due easterly winds we are having also adds to the higher tides. Usually we have SE winds but with the storm "Nate" the winds have changed just enough to have an impact. Its kind of one of those "perfect storm" scenarios. I could be wrong but that's my theory.

You're not referring to the double C words (climate change) are you?
