It's been almost 24 hours since landfall and I have not seen one report on the referenced areas. Does anyone have any insight into how those areas weathered the storm?

Victoria has a lot of wind damage. Right now waiting on flood waters and how high they are going to get. No water and power is out. Electric company is sending out trucks. Biggest problem is most food stores took damage and no gas for cars. Right now reports from different neighborhoods of looting starting. City is in a strict curfew but folks are stressed and at wits end. Also no school for kids till maybe the 5 of September. Bad but not as bad as others.

friend in Victoria reported this 7am this morning 8/27/2017:
Update on Hurricane Harvey in Victoria. A lot of damage in my neighborhood with trees down and on top of houses. 80% of fencing blown down, no water and no electricity for most of the city. I am fine. My house is good. A lot of businesses have sustained major structural damage. We have only 2 convenience stores open in the city, so you can imagine the lines and amount of people at them. No restaurants open yet. Grocery stores and wal mart still closed. The weather is pretty calm with 5 to 10 mph wind and drizzle at this time. The rain is supposed to come back but not at hurricane or tropical storm status.

Sorry was on lockdown at the office. Been at work since Wed of last week and back at it. Cuero and surrounding areas have lots of wind damage, no power in areas, major flooding, and lack of fuel. Other then that it's not too bad. No loss of live in my county, and none that I am aware of in Victoria either.
