Went to Del Rio last weekend to visit with the brother in law. Was able to get away for a few hours and hit the lake. I had lures but wanted to try fishing with minnows. I stop and get a dozen and the lady says, "that'll be 14 dollars".  What! I already had the minnows in my bucket, so I took em. The way I see it, I pay more for beer, these minnows will bring me far more joy.  . So head out to the first stop, Blackbrush, toss out a minnow under an oval cork and bam it went down. Missed it. Threw another one out and hooked a nice litte one pounder. From there I headed to Diablo East and caught a smallmouth. Then headed to Governers Landing and didn't catch anything there. Last stop was at the 277 bridge and picked up a small bass on a spinnerbait. I'm headed down to the coast this weekend, hoping I can find some fish.

Darn would have loved to have seen the pictures. Wow those "minners" are expensive.

Ok I fixed it by using another photo website. But now I see all my old post the pics are gone. Ugh!

From what I have been told they are smallies and the majority are caught up the Devils River. Yeah I rubbed the tongue and no rough patch on there.
