We had two yeti coolers and 5 rod and reel combos stolen out of our garage today in the Annaville area. Please be on the lookout as some of the rods are easily identified. One was a 2016 Sharkathon rod for 2nd place Redfish, purple wrap, 10 footer, brand new Shimano Tekota spooled with yellow braid. Another was a 12 foot yellow surf rod with a Diawa Sealine, 'Big Yeller' on the Side, this was the first rod I ever wrapped. Also an Abu Garcia 10,000 on a tiger stik I think. One of the yeti coolers is a 75 with a custom cushion (it fits in a platform in my boat). Thanks!

Sorry to hear about the loss of all your stuff. Hopefully some things will be found in the local pawn shops.

Thieves are opportunist, and if we give them the opportunity they will steal our hard earned whatever. I was cleaning up the grassy area of a property years ago, and when I was finished and was at the far end of the property (!00' or so) after sweeping the sidewalk, I looked up and saw a guy running down the sidewalk away from my suburban with something in his hand. After a few seconds I realized he had my chain saw in his hand! I had left the back window down on my old suburban while I was working. I made chase and almost caught the car he was getting into with his friends, but fortunately I was too slow! Very Happy I remembered the license #, but found out the plate was stolen, so that was the end of my search. My telling you this story is to say you don't need to give the thieves much of an opportunity, because while you and I are trying to figure out how to earn our living and pay our bills, they are trying to figure out how to steal what we have earned! Lights, cameras, and locks go a long way to securing things, but you can't be too diligent. BTW, don't leave your garage door open when it's not necessary. Sorry to learn of your loss, and hopefully, you will find your gear.

Yes, and ebay and all the others sites have made it easy for them to off load gear for whatever.

I had a prosumer video camera stolen from my truck..

no matter the circumstance, planned or un planned it still sucks.
