| With my boat sitting idle for several months I needed to get out and run it a while yesterday. It started right up with no problem but about every five minutes my no oil light would come on and it would go into safety mode. Figured it had an air bubble over the sensor so I put it in idle pump the bulb until my forearm was sore. Finally got it working okay. Water was gorgeous yesterday a nice green color and the trout were aggressive, although there were no keepers in the 25 or so trout I caught. Did see a big school of drum under my boat and Skipjack were plentiful. Seems to be a little early for those. Took it back out again today to make sure everything was fine and the winds were hellacious and the water was churned up brown. Still managed to catch a bunch of trout but only stayed out about an hour with winds the way they were. Today I did not fish any of my normal spots. I went here areas that I normally do not fish and there were fish everywhere even in the dirty water. Looks like it might be a good spring |
