Ok, just wondering, if you could only fish one month out of the year.....which month would you choose? I've looked at tons of old posts on here and can't really pinpoint anything exactly. Basically just trying to plan the right time of year to make a trip. Targeting specs, reds, drum, flounder. Did well this august when I was there but just don't have the luxury of coming all the time (at least not yet).
Oh yeah, and it will be wading and/or boat fishing (looking at getting a pathfinder) [/code] |

| I would take October over every month of the year. I seem to always do best in that month than any other and there are far fewer boats on the water. Wading/Boat doesnt much matter. I do both, probably more on the boat in corpus, wading most everywher else. |

I've always tried to spend most of my vacation fishing in September, hurricane season being a factor. |

X2.
Seems just about everywhere you can catch fish this time of the year. Surf is alive as well as the bays. October gets my vote! _________________ Great captains, the stuff of legend, are made not by what they have caught, but by what they have given back. |

| Wow that's great, October is actually when I was think about coming this year, but started second guessing it when I went back and looked at older posts from October in previous years. Didn't seem like many people posted catches then. Seems like weather would be perfect and was hoping fishing would be great too. |

Thats simply due to the fact that most of the weekend warriors are gone, and deer and dove hunters are focused more on the fields than the water. My greatest fishing trips have all been in October. |

November...although the weather can be dicey....but, the water has cooled, the fish are going ballistic, and there's very few people on the beach...

| In addition to being the most beautiful time of the year on the coast, there are more birds flying, and the weather is generally great! However, this being Texas the weather can change at any time. Enjoy! |

| X3 or 5 for October. I have a picture of my tracks on pins looking back 50 miles. Only set of tracks there. Caught my biggest red and hooked three tarpon in one day. Course, I've been on pins during sharkathon too, so there's that... |

12 months outa the year for me. October 1ST because it starts cooling off and the fish like that so does IMS. Then its March or April. Any month that the water temp in the bay hits 70 degrees. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |
