Anyone have experience with claims handling from Progressive or Boat USA ?
Currently have Progressive but a friend had a hassle with them after hitting a submerged floating railroad tie. Considering Boat USA. Premium about 50 bucks more but better coverage. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks

I have my boat insured with the same company I use for my house and it's been an advantage. I'm sure it depends on what company you have insuring your home.

Charter lakes has been terrific for me. Had to file a claim for stolen trolling motor, sent them the cost of a new one plus wiring and had a check in 4 days, no questions asked. Rates are great too. 281-452-7800 I am not affiliated with them in any way.

Thank you Brandon, we have a great claims department and excellent customer service or so we've heard. Brice and I are available nights, weekends, holidays, whenever we are needed. Give us a call at Charter Lakes, maybe we can help you out on getting the coverage and customer service you need.

No personal experience with either, but I do with Charter Lakes. I'd recommend them. Good rates and my one claim was handled to my satifaction.
My mechanic dreads having to do repairs for Progressive claims.

I dread having anything to do with Progressive insurance. Peter Lewis, the chairman is a libby nightmare and a running buddy of George Soros. Very good article on him here. http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/peterlewis.asp

Just remember, if you do business with progressive you are funding every globalist far left cause around.

Did you read the article you linked? You may want to before you make claims like the one you are making. According to the article he died in 2013.

, just the first part. Didn't read it to the end., I'm glad to hear he's gone. Doesn't change much however. Progressive Insurance is still an ultra-liberal company. True to the memory of ultra-liberal Lewis. If you don't believe it look it up for yourself.

Usaa does not handle boat insurance, they outsource it to Progressive.

You are absolutely correct. I have been a USAA customer since 1971. When I had a boat I refused to let them issue the insurance through Progressive.

I have always wondered why a "conservative" military oriented company as USAA would use an ultra-liberal company such as Progressive to provide insurance they did not issue themselves. Kinda flies in the face of USAA's stated philosophies doesn't it. But - it goes a long way to prove that the almighty dollar is really the motivation and all the rest of USAA's hype is pure BS.

In fact I have not felt any loyalty to USAA for multiple years. If I ever find an insurance company that will provide my insurance needs at less cost than USAA I will have no hesitation switching. Guess if they can have an "almighty" dollar policy so can I.

Been a USAA Member since 1970. 46 years breeds a lot of loyalty. I won't deal with Progressive anything though. Thanks for the heads up. I eagerly await my December and February "bonus'" from USAA again this year.
