|

Hey guys, been a while since I've posted. Me and a few buddies are planning on making a trip this weekend for some surf fishing/camping for reds/sharks and whatever else will bite. We'd prefer to go to PINS but the conditions for Thursday and Friday are absolutely brutal.
We are okay with brutal conditions if the fish are biting but we just don't know what to expect with high rain chance, very high surf and 17 MPH winds. The tide should be good enough to camp if we find the right spot though.
I know it's been high lately but seems to be coming back down.
This is the only weekend where our schedules line up so we really don't want to miss the trip.
Have ya'll had good luck fishing PINS this time of year in conditions like these? We are bringing 2 kayaks. |

yeah, maybe consider camping on the north end of the beach....plenty of fish up and down the beach if you're doing it right....the North Sticks is Technically PINS, so you can say y'all made it to PINS and camped there....you don't have to say how far down...

the weather report looks fairly decent for the weekend. I am also planning on going down this weekend. As Rebecca said you can always camp on the north end where the beach is usually wider and drive south to fish. I usually try to camp south of milepost 15 but if need be I will camp north of milepost 5 just to be safe.
I will make my final decision on whether to head down or not Thursday afternoon. |
