Wednesday 10/5 - A little warm but nice overall. Easy to find birds working the bait, coupled with a lot of skipjack. Got a limit+ of trout, 1 in 3 trout were in the keeper range (up to 18"). Spotted quite a few reds cruising over seagrass 3' deep (water was crystal clear) but they were finicky. Switched to Vudu mullet on a fast retrieve and got slammed immediately by an upper slot red. Lost him due to poor tackle, along with another solid red on soft plastic due to poor technique. No pix today. All fish released.

Thursday 10/6 - conditions pretty much the same, with fewer groups of birds, and water clarity just slightly worse. Everything seemed to be just a little slower. Ended up with 4 keeper trout no bigger than 17" (released a 15.25") and 2 reds. (25" and 27.5"). Soft plastics.

Seemed to have better luck both days working over solid grass beds. Had very little luck working the transition from grass to deeper water.
