I went out to the surf sunday afternoon. Drove down to the stick and set up there. The water was brown of course but the water was still warm. Swells 3-4ft.
I got some fishbites out pretty far and picked up a ladyfish. That was perfect because I needed some cut bait. After that it was was all gafftop, pretty good ones too. Caught 6-8 in a few hours. Also there were the ever present whiting closer in. I know most people don't want to be catching catfish when they go to the surf but heck I don't mind so much. They're a sizable fish with a half decent fight, decent eating too.
Surf is looking a lot nicer today. |

Thanks for the report! I kept up with things while gone for two weeks on vacation. Now the wind is back
