Headed down to Port Mansfield to fish this weekend and I've heard that years ago the fuel used to be really dirty because of the old tanks. Do any of you guys who fish down there know if that is still the case or has it since been corrected?

There is only one place to get gas in Port Mansfield on the water or off. I have used their gas several times with no problems and have not heard of any one else with complaints except for the price.

As stated only one place to get gas. The other gas station that was off the water is shut down because of the problems you talked about. There is a nice convenience store in Raymondville at the turn off to Mansfield. I always gas up as much as possible there before launching.

Thanks for help yall. Yea I knew the only gas was at the marina and the price would be high, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't contaminated. Sounds like that problem was solved when the other station closed.

Good luck to everyone this weekend. We've had a few rough trips in the ULM recently so we're trying our luck further south!

Just got back from a 2 week trip to Mansfield. Pumped gas twice from the marina with no problems. Due to cost, I would definitely fill up in Raymondville.

Good luck
