current winds are SE at 7-10 in my yard 15 -17 mph on the surfside will probably be 20mph and gusty later. Full moon in 5 days. skies are partly cloudy and hazy. Current temp is 82 with a barometer 29.89.
Fishing this morning with a couple of my nephews going to try and put them on a couple of fish if they weren't here I'd be taking Nita's boys  . I'd take Tyler and his wife but my boat sucks in the surf . We will be headed down south first just to get them out and about on a boat and to see some sights. Jarod my great nephew likes to drive the boat. If nothing happens down there it's back to the Backyard ..... report later.

Fished from down south to pass Pure oil.......3 trout and lots of wind. My nephews stuck it out and fished hard . The fish just didn't want what we were throwing at them today, but we will give it another try or 2. They brought kayaks but with the wind and heat I think they would rather fish in something with a little push. Water clarity was poor with the wind. We started out at the yellow cabin and slowly worked our way back to the north. There were pockets of bait here and there. I'm sure we could have changed the box with some live shrimp but my nephews are hard core like their most wonderful Uncle. We will stay in the Backyard for the next outing.
My Great Nephew Jarod with a very firm grip on the first trout of the day. We caught 2 more back to back right after that and it just quit.

| Well, we got the "lots of wind" but only hooked into one trout and he got away. |

Got to admire them kiddos for grinding it out. With lessons from their uncle they are bound to be great anglers soon.

No problem Tyler. The water was a little strange as far as clarity. There was the off color green that we are used to and it was just dusty from the wind and you could see your lure for about a foot. That was close to the ICW, as you got out in the middle grounds it was a dirty brown then close to the KRS maybe the last 100 yards was somewhat on the clear side.

My bride of 39 years says I'm not allowed to get a job. I love to work and work hard and sweat. My doctors and family want me to relax so that my neurosurgeon does not have to do Armageddon on the back of my neck " in his words" and run rods down my back which will make me look down at my feet for the rest of my life. I'll settle for the pain. Other than more surgery narcotics is all they have to offer and I refuse to go in that direction. Other than that I'm still a happy joking, picking kind of guy who is blessed by many good friends and I will fish and fry fish until they take that away ( let them try). Still thinking about fried green tomatoes and fishing with my nephews tomorrow. Think I will get the fry pot ready and fry them up some goodies before they leave. Right now I need to clean the kitty box wash dishes and vacuum, take out the garbage, wash my clothes.
