|

Hey guys and gals
I started a fishing club today at Moody High School called the Trojan Anglers. I had 45 kids sign up with many more that showed an interest. Looking for your expertise to pass on to the kids. If you have something to offer, I would love for you to come and talk them and show them what you know. Such as proper way to Kayak and Wade Fish and basically just fish. I had many who had not been fishing at all. Pretty sad when we live so close to the water. Whatever knowledge you can offer will be welcomed. We want to compete with the other high schools in the area as we get a bit more organized. Ray High School's team participated in the Big Brothers Tournament in a high school division I believe they created. If you know the tournament directors out there, mention to them about creating a High School Division. Well just thought I would let you know. Any ideas are welcomed....Got to keep these kids interested...Going to have t shirts made as soon as we get the funds. This is a club so there us no district money funding this club. |

Great idea hope it all works out. it's great for the kids and could open some new doors for them. Fishing is all about safety, fun, honesty, and helping others. There's always something new to learn. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Good deal somaral! Glad you have taken the initiative to recruit more of the current generation of kids into the fishing addiction.
Good luck with your endeavor. You did come to the right forum for help. _________________

I'd be glad to help talk fishing with Moody kids (class of '97). Kayak safety, etc.

| Great effort! There are a lot of us out here with a tremendous amount of what we think is "useless information" which we could contribute, as well as spare equipment. That being said, if and when you need any thing from us don't hesitate to let us know. Keep up the good work! |

I don't know about this......if you teach those future Moody kids to fish as good as they play baseball, there won't be any fish left for the rest of us.
Seriously though, great idea! |
