The little bit I know, not alot--but if U could get over to the East Cape, not to far from Cabo--the fishing (may) be better, and it is also known for great roosterfish.
Also U will get away from the tourist/ gouging, prices of Cabo.
Do some searching on a few Baja sites, make sure U have your travel card, and Mex. fishing license.
They won't give U a pass, like they do here for being illegal!
U can get your peso's at the Bank in Cabo, with your debit card-I think?
But like I said go to some Baja Sites/forum's--and U can get ALL the info.

PS: did google map-32min. to east cape, from cabo

We have been twice and pretty much booked the cheapest trips we could find and still caught fish. I think the striped marlin are there pretty much year round, we caught 2 at Thanksgiving. We stayed in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo the second time. Los Cabos is a little more Americanized with a huge marina San Jose being smaller and not quite as Americanized. We did the all inclusive route both times and would do it again. It's pretty much fishing, golf, bars, and beach in that area being basically desert. Pisces and RedRum Charters are the two I see recommended the most on other boards. If you have any other questions dont' hesitate.

Greenhornet2,I have read a lot of good reviews on PISCES and I'm leaning more towards that one. You've been on their boat? How was the Captain and the deck hand? Do they do everything or do they let you do your thing if you know how to fish? Are you allowed to take beer food ect? And I know I have to get the Mexican fishing license. Thanks again all of y'all for the input! This is something that I'm really looking forward to! Just want to make the right choice!! Lol

I have not been on their boat, if you go to bloodydecks.com or 2coolfishing you can probably find someone that has. Each boat is a little different on what you need to bring, some provide everything including drinks and food but if you prefer to bring your own stuff that's not a problem. You will save a little money and time the morning of if you get your license online prior to your trip but just make sure it isn't included in the trip price. https://www.bajasursportfishing.com/pesca/index.php?idiomas=en

They usually do pretty much everything but fight the fish, if you are wanting to be more involved it's your dime just let them know.

Never been, but one of my patients goes there every couple of years. Last year he went out with Pisces and had great things to say about it, put his wife on a very nice sized mahi and his son on a blue marlin. Saw the pics of the fish today and they looked good.

I had a good trip down there in December. Stayed at Hotel Tesoro on the harbor for $79 per night. Great place for the money. Fished with the Pisces Fleet. Fished 3 days and caught marlin and mahi each day along with wahoo. Best Captain for the money was Chato. He fishes a panga boat. Had our catch cooked each night at Solomon's at the harbor. Best fish and side dishes that I have ever had. Cooked 5 ways. Lots of sharks hawking other boats, but don't believe them. Only fish with established operators.
