fished nueces bay today due to the water clarity in the ULM. started off at the river inlet and could only see about six inches...lol so much for the water clarity issues. anyway trout were tearing up the menhaden. i tried every color of lure i had and nothing. caught some bait in my net and still nothing. after hour r so i moved to my favorite reef and put out some dead shrimp i had...just freelined with no weight. i managed 4 drum before the rain started all 18 to 20in. i did also get a trout using popping cork with a tx chicken colored assassin however it got off while i was messing with my gopro. put up some pics on my facebook page. captd jones. also friend of mine caught a 21 1/2in trout in packery. dont let the water clarity keep you from fishing. they are still out there. im still getting reports from all over with full stringers. it seems it comes down to being in the right place at the right time. over the reefs water temp was 73* and about 1ft visability. so until next time GOOD LUCK TO ALL
