| I recently picked up a surf-mate jr. I drive a 2500hd with a ranch hand full front replacement bumper that has a receiver. My question is Will I be dealing with any legal issues with the rack on the front of the truck? With the reels on the rack they sit just above the hood. It does not bother me, however I don't want to get pulled over for obstruction of view or something. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks. |

I just keep my side clear. You can order more attachable rod holders if you want to make up for the ones in your view.
The other thing is if your receiver hitch somewhat obliterates the view of your front plate. That could be a problem. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

| I appreciate the feedback. I will probably put my lower profile rigs on driver side to minimize obstruction. I did get 2 extra rod holders with it just not sure where I'm gonna mount them yet. I am wanting to keep it symmetrical so not sure about putting both extra holders on pass side, but it makes sense to do so. Also as high as the rack sits my license plate is not obstructed at all. So at least that is not an issue. |
