Went south of Bobhall today for about 4 hours bad news is there wasn't anything but whiting. Good news there was alot of them on peeled shrimp about everything 60 seconds in the 2nd gut. Water was flat today and good color. Hopefully water warms up here soon.

With kids, whiting of any size are fun. Especially on light tackle.

We caught a bunch of sand trout and whiting last fall at the mouth of the Brazos river by Freeport. I filleted them, took them to my brother's house and we had 2 heaping plates of fish pieces for fish tacos with all the fixings.

Yep! They were tasty. The mild flavor of those 2 types of fish went very well in the tacos.

Hungry yet?.....

That's great news! I'm also interested in the size you were catching. Looking for them 2 pounders!
