cathead is .86 miles northwest of the badlands....and 3.7 miles due north of the point of rocks....and 1.9 miles east of entrance to tide gauge bar....and .85 miles west of twin palms...

that should get you there....or follow the link in the "sticky's" on the fishing forum board to the maps and get a Hook-n-line or Top-spot maps that has all the names, water depths, and other pertinent info on it....WELL worth the menial price...

heh...yeah, guess the words out from someone's cousin's great uncle ricky-bobby that a buddy's friends' neighbors second-removed stepdaughter's boyfriend caught an 8 pound trout there last weekend on a fake corky while wading....LOL

and it's not a dumb question, its a $400 for a half-day, or $600 for a full-day for two people (plus $50 extra a person to 4 people) question....

there are several great guides on here that can SAFELY show you cathead, and other places in Baffin....WELL worth the price of admission...

Pull up google earth, it's the large crescentic rock formation between the badlands and the tide gauge bar. No secret. You will know it by all the boats parked on it. When there's fish there you pretty much have to get there at about 4 AM to get a spot.

Not to be confused with the other "_______head" formation a little further back in Baffin. The old maps have it listed, but we don't talk about that no more! Shocked

No we don't we had to ban a guy who kept on saying it in posts and then got mad at me for thinking anyone would take offense.

Yeah, and make sure you approach it from inside the main bay and know all the rocks / formations going there. Just be careful, it's doable.
