Just a quick one this time... So me and the old man made a trip down to target sheepies and flounder Monday and Tuesday. We picked up some live shrimp and headed to the HH on the surf. Tide was out and water quality was poor, so after 30 min or so with no bites, we packed up and tried our luck at the fish pass jetties. We fished there from 2 or so till dark and walked off with 2 sheepshead and 1 flounder.

We went back in the morning to find that the wind had changed directions from the day before and the water was much choppier. We fished the rocks for about 3.5 hrs, but the bite was much slower that day compared to Monday. Still, we got 1 more goat from the s. jetty this time.

From there we tried our luck at the P.A. South jetty, but the action there was just as slow, I think 2 hits in maybe 1.5 hr or so. After that we hit another spot at Robert's Point park, but no luck there either. After about 45 minutes, we finished off the bait, loaded the truck back up and made the trip back to SA.

All in all, it wasnt the worst trip ever. It's always nice to get out and hit the water for a day or two, and those fillets made for some killer Sheepshead Courtbouillon, let me tell ya. Ill try to post some pics later tonite. Tight Lines!

Sounds like a great time was had by all.

It's been my experience you want to catch sheepshead go with ghost shrimp.

You'll never regret time spent with family. Good report.

Any time on the water is a good time and time well spent. Thanks for the report.
