I have been in Seattle for the past week. I did notice some reports from the Padre Island National Seashore. I could use some help on the Laguna, Aransas Pass, Bob Hall, Packery, Baffin or any place in between
Just after 6am on Lago's show - 1360 KKTX
Thanks!

| Fished PINS yesterday and today. The water was has cleared up quite a bit but the winds late this afternoon will probably muddy it up. No weed yesterday but today there was fine bladed grass up till about 3PM then it cleared out. We went down to about the 6 today and the 10 yesterday. My wife likes to look for shells and she found lots of sand dollars and small starfish so she was happy. We caught lots whiting, hardheads, and a 23 inch and 24 inch black drum on fishbites, Didn't catch much on cut bait or live pinfish. Driving was good even at high tide. |

| Slow bite on the laguna yesterday... Trout are very lethargic right now. |

| Trout in Laguna from the backyard to pure oil are feisty. Most were in the 14.5 inch range though but caught on every third and fourth cast. If you're persistent limits can be had. Soft plastics in pumpkin seed and white produced the most |

Fished the Port A South jetty Tuesday mid-AM to about 2pm, not much to show for it. Borderline-keeper sheepshead on the channel side just about anywhere. Free-lined shrimp was an almost certain bite, enough to keep the rod bent.
Saw nothing caught in the surf. No noticeable bait present. Water was decent color, Gulf was nice with long period, small rollers. Could have BTB it if it was the summer, other than foggy conditions.
Very warm; took my hoodie but packed it pretty fast. Beautiful weather lately. _________________ I'd rather be fishing |
