Operation Game Thief works.
My friend called in some nimrods on a private pier on the bay. They had about 30 undersized trout. We asked them as we left how they did and they were rude. He called the number like he had planned when we saw them keeping the undersized fish. As we were on Ocean Drive going North we saw a Game Warden flying by going South. About three weeks later my friend received a check in the mail for $100 from TPWD. Whatever the GW did they got what they deserved. _________________ To have a right to do a thing is not at all the same as to be right in doing it. - G.K. Chesterton |

We need more people turning in illegal fishing. A big thank you to your friend. _________________ "I do hunt and I do fish and I do not apologize to anyone that I hunt and fish." - Norman Schwarzkopf |

I was the cause of several pendejos getting tickets poaching at the oso spillway this summer. One of them was classic. Idiot is fishing inside the fence under the dam, I call OGT, the warden pulls up on the hill behind him. He never sees her get out of the truck. She walks up to him and taps him on the shoulder. Had OS red un tagged and was trespassing to fish. The look on his face when she tapped him on the shoulder was priceless. He had to do the walk of shame all the way back to his truck. |

Yes sir, up to $1000.00.
http://ogttx.com/about.cfm
"Operation Game Thief is Texas' wildlife Crime-stoppers program, offering rewards of up to $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction for a wildlife crime. Begun in 1981 as a result of laws passed by the 67th Legislature to help curtail poaching, the program, a function of the law enforcement division of Texas Parks and Wildlife, is highly successful. In the last ten years OGT has provided over $600,000 in grants to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) for the purchase of specialized and technologically advanced equipment for Texas game wardens. Privately funded, the program is dependent on financial support from the public through the purchase of OGT memberships and merchandise, donations, sponsorships, and gifts." _________________ To have a right to do a thing is not at all the same as to be right in doing it. - G.K.
