I was able to get out and enjoy some fishing the last couple days. Despite the strong winds, the fishing was great both days. Water clarity was ok, water temps per my GPS were hitting 68-70 degrees. Fished south down KRS and ended up with a few solid redfish and a couple slot trout. I caught and released a 29 1/2" red to be caught again another day. Also caught a slob of a 27" 8 pound red. Lots of undersize trout, very few of size. Everything we caught was on the edge of holes or in them, mostly 4-6' of water. My neighbor told me he was catching reds in 2 foot of water yesterday but I could not buy a bite in that shallow of water. Everything was caught on live shrimp and corks or dark plastics.

I had an awesome redfish school experience that ended up happening. About 20-30 reds swarmed everyone's lines, busted us all off after being hooked up and went on about their business. That was a first time for me. Reds are abundant still.

Flounder are stacking in the canal and channels I'm told. Lots of them being caught around the cos way.

Get out there while the weather is still good!
