|
|
Just this summer my boy and I started fishing the coast. We quickly learned about Packery and had a few good trips fishing the south jetty. The next three trips were pointless, we caught nothing.
During our trips we have heard about the run in the fall and it sounds great. I am ready but I am not sure when to plan a trip. Is it something that just happens, we read about it here and then everyone heads to the water or is there some other predictor of dates? Also, how long does it usually last?
Thanks for any info, we are new at this but learned that we love hooking into some reds this summer. |

| I found October-November are peak times. Can start end of September abd run into December. When the finger mullet start migrating all the predatory fish will follow. |

Thanks, I knew it was near and didn't want to miss it. I was hoping the current red tide situation wasn't messing with the run.
You know, the red messing with the reds. |
