| Long time follower of this forum. Decided to create an account. Leaving OKC on Thursday with the hopes of getting some lines wet by that evening. Looking forward to some relaxation and hopefully some fish to take back to OKC. Have been coming down for the last 3 years. Ya'll surely do have a beautiful area. Might look towards transferring to the NAS once my kids get older. If Ya'll see a white Dodge 2500 with Oklahoma plates give me a honk and point me in the right direction toward the fish! |

Good luck man, that's a long haul! Takes me 10-10.5 hours from Little Rock driving 75 and only stopping for gas and fast food a couple times. _________________ Dave

| What is the BHP? BTW, I lived in Ponca City, Oklahoma once, and I can vouch for it being a long drive. Be careful, and don't hesitate to take a break from time to time, so you can stay alert, because our Texas Hwys can be dangerous. Especially, when you are going through the metropolitan areas. |

Well... Had a wonderful time in the Corpus Area. Finally caught my first red. Wasn't a monster but 24 inches. Caught in Copano Bay. Caught lots of hardheads, whiting, bluefish and bait fish off of BHP. No luck near JFK. No luck at the Packery Jetty. All in all, I had a great time. Didn't get any honks from you guys! Oh well, Ya'll were probably on the fish! Till next year. Keep em' tight. Good luck and stay safe.
Back to the freshwater fishing. |
